The safety and security of my clients has always been paramount to me. Because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I have updated my policies and procedures to keep my clients in the safest, most clean environment possible. Here is a list of my current sanitization procedures and the new procedures I am adopting once my office is able to reopen:

CURRENT PROCEDURES

  • I follow the American Electrology Association guidelines for infection control, co-written by the CDC

  • I wash and/or sanitize my hands between each client

  • I wear a new pair of gloves for each client

  • I sterilize all tweezers

  • I use disposable pre-sterilized probes

  • I disinfectant all surfaces touched by clients or by me

  • I have hand sanitizer available in my waiting room

  • I have HEPA air filtration

  • I schedule clients by appointment only — no walk-ins

NEW Covid-19 PROCEDURES

  • I will wear a face mask

  • Clients will wear a face mask (when feasible)

  • I will wear a face shield

  • Waiting area will be limited to one person

  • I will verbally screen for travel and illness

  • I will take client's temperature on forehead with an infrared thermometer

  • I will cover my glove box and tissue boxes

  • Only clients will be allowed in my office — no guests
